Banned from entering stadiums for 8 months

The owner of KAE Panathinaikos, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, has been sanctioned by ESKAE and is required to serve a ban on entering all stadiums for eight months.

Dimitris Giannakopoulos was also fined 35,000 euros for “actions and statements that defame the sport,” according to information from ESAKE. Therefore, even if the ban stands as is, he will not be able to watch Panathinaikos matches for most of next season.

1. Dimitris Giannakopoulos, owner of Panathinaikos Athleticos Omelos Kalathosphaerikis Anonymis Iterias (d. KAE Panathinaikos) was imposed a temporary ban on entry to all stadiums for a period of eight (8) months and a fine of thirty-five thousand (35,000.00) euros, for his actions and statements that Constitutes defamation of the sport, actions that occurred before, during and after the conclusion of the championship match with the Olympic Villathlon Federation team of the Piraeus Basketball Association (dt OLYMPIAKOS KAE) held on 14-06-2024 and

2. A fine of fifty thousand (50,000) euros is imposed on PANATHINAIKOS ATHLETIKOS OMILOS KALATHOSFAIRIKI ANONIMI ETEIREIA (dt KAE PANATHINAIKOS) for actions and statements of its owner, which constitute defamation of the sport, actions which have occurred before, as reported during and after the end of the tournament match. With the Piraeus Olympic Basketball Association Philathlon Team (n.d.: Olympiacos Kai) which was held on 06-14-2024.
