Giorgos Barzoukas was insulted by a fan sitting behind the bench, who was removed by police.
Giorgos Barzoukas was upset when a fan insulted him during the Colossos-Olympiacos match.
The Olympiacos coach was subjected to abuse from a man sitting behind the red and white bench, with the scene set to escalate as Piraeus’ teammates reacted.
At the time of Petrusev’s injury, while Bartzukas was standing to see what was happening to his player, the “fan” in question was shouting at the Greek coach to sit down, and at the same time asking the referees to award him a technical penalty kick. One of the most prominent events was when he started cursing Coach Bee, with anger igniting at that moment.
The Olympiacos fans, who were sitting further away, moved towards the fan, but the police stopped them and asked them to return to their seats.
Soon after, the people of Colossus and Christos Beauvais had a conversation for a few minutes, while Costas Papanikolaou asked to calm the spirits.
The whole incident ended shortly after, ERT reported, with police asking the fan in question to leave the stadium.
Thomas Walkup won the EuroLeague Defender of the Year award, making the Olympiacos international goalkeeper the second goalkeeper in the history of the competition to win the award!
