Ben Affleck Jennifer Garner: Their 15-year-old son took a walk as Finn Affleck
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's child has publicly revealed his new name.
Ben Affleck's middle child appeared at a memorial for Jennifer Garner's father over the weekend – formerly known as Seraphina Rose – introduced herself as Finn Affleck. The 15-year-old boy wore a black suit to the memorial service and had a very short haircut, while before reading Bible verses dedicated to his grandfather, he said he was now called Finn Affleck.
A photo of the two stars' child with his new short hair had already been circulating since February 2024, but the memorial ceremony was the first time he appeared in public with a new name.
Some international media broadcast that the move was actually Finn announcing that he is a transgender person, however other LGBTQI+ media like pinknews clarified that the child had just introduced himself with his new name and that this was not a reveal of his gender identity.
The memorial service, which was broadcast live on Facebook, was dedicated to Jennifer Garner's father, William Jack Garner, who died a week ago at the age of 85. Following the other grandchildren, the 15-year-old introduced himself at the church pulpit, saying “Hi, my name is Finn Affleck.” Then read verse 8 of chapter 16 of the Book of Proverbs: “Better a little gain with righteousness than much gain with unrighteousness…”
Ben Affleck's 15-year-old child with Jennifer Garner is the middle of their three children. He has an older sister, 18-year-old Violet Anne, and a younger brother, Samuel.
In 2022, Ben Affleck married Jennifer Lopez, whose 16-year-old uses gender-neutral pronouns and became close to Finn as half-brothers. The two were photographed together on a street in Los Angeles.
