A series of recently leaked images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 suggest major upgrades, including a larger display and improved AI features that could give it a big advantage over the competition. A video posted on Weibo shows that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain the quad rear setup, but will upgrade two of them with larger, more precise sensors. There were earlier rumors that Samsung’s upcoming flagship could sport a triple display, but now it seems those rumors have been debunked.

Samsung is said to be upgrading the 10MP 3x zoom camera on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, incorporating a new 50MP camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Although magnification remains at the same levels, the increased resolution is expected to significantly improve image quality. In addition, the new flagship phone could also include an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 50-megapixel sensor, replacing the previous 12-megapixel sensor.

As for the rest of the specifications, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely retain the 200-megapixel main camera, in addition to the 50-megapixel camera with 5x zoom, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The upgrade to a 3x zoom camera is long overdue, as Samsung has been using the same 10MP 3x sensor since the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The camera with a high-resolution sensor will allow for improved images with a 3x zoom rate in low light conditions.

Although multi-megapixel sensors don’t always guarantee excellent results at the beach, the Galaxy S24 is actually one of the best in terms of its cameras, with four times the 200MP, 10MP, 50MP and 12MP scores.
