On Thursday evening, the premiere of the sports documentaries “Black Flame Rising” took place in Heraklion, Crete. SPORT24 was of course there.
PAE OFI 1925 with the production company 24 Media Productions And productions company Indigo View, co-signers of the Black Flame Rising documentary series, welcomed players, coaching staff, OFI fans and special local guests last night (04/05) to a film screening that had it all.
Joy, nostalgia, passion, excitement but also deep gratitude. For the people who have reunited with OFI and starred in this documentary series. Mike Bousis, President of PAE OFI, Elias Boursanidis, General Manager of PAE OFI, George Samaras, Executive Director of PAE OFI in the period 2018-22, Yiannis Samaras, Director of Football in PAE OFI in the period 2018-22, Nikos Neoplia, Team Coach In the 2021-22 season, Leonidas Papavasilakis, Commercial Director of PAE OFI in the period 2018-2022, Nikos Papaioannou, journalist and motivational link with the investor’s family and of course Evgenios Gerard, the human symbol of this group with his family, his wife Katerina Papadakis and her sons Manolis and Minas honored this event with their presence.
In an evening full of impatience, excitement and passion, Crete welcomed the first chapter of the Black Flame Rising sports documentary series. The first five episodes of a documentary series that will change the way we see football in our country premiered at the Technopolis multipurpose hall in Heraklion.
And that’s because, for the first time in Greek history, a team has allowed a film crew to follow them for an entire year, the 2021-22 season, throughout their journey. In the locker room, preparations, rehearsals, good times and bad times. And this group was there to see this project completed.
On the faces of everyone who attended this special premiere last night, you can also see a sense of pride. Many viewers saw themselves on the screen. In their novels and stories about OFI. But it is clear that a sense of pride prevailed for the club.
For the ‘team’, as those we met on the island in the morning call it, without any doubt as to which team we are referring to. They were all very proud of them because now they saw through the eyes of a third party – in the novel Black Flame Rising directed and written by Dimitris Goutsis, research, editing and screenplay by Antonis Dinako with the valuable contribution of Yannis Villiris, how much this team has achieved in recent years and how deeply rooted it is in the souls of the people of this place.
The show was initiated by PAE OFI 1925 General Director Minas Lysandros, PAE OFI 1925 General Director Ilias Boursanidis and director Dimitris Goutsis, coordinated by PAE OFI 1925 Communications Director Manoli Vogiatzakis.
We remind you that Black Flame Rising will premiere on Monday 08 May and you all can watch the first five acts of the documentary on SPORT24 and also on COSMOTE TV channels (COSMOTE SPORT1HD 21:00).
