AEK announced on Tuesday (2/7) the acquisition of Alberto Brignoli, with the former Panathinaikos goalkeeper signing a contract for the next three years.
And with the bull he is an AEK player as of Tuesday (2/7). Alberto Brignoliwith the union announcing its acquisition until the summer of 2027.
His contract with the Union will last for three years, as the former Panathinaikos goalkeeper will be one of the two new goalkeepers that the “yellow and black” will get after Matias Almeida demanded a major upgrade in the team’s goal.
In the season that ended, the 32-year-old goalkeeper defended the Greens’ goal in 21 matches, as he became a foreign body to the “clover” after December by a decision from the management after not renewing his contract, which officially ended on June 30, 2024.
Panathinaikos acquired Brignoli in the summer transfer window of 2021, as a free agent from Empoli.
In the three years he wore the green shirt, he played in a total of 86 matches, keeping 47 clean sheets.

Alberto Brignoli was born on August 19, 1991. He has played for Juventus, Sampdoria, Leganes, Palermo, Empoli and Panathinaikos, among others.
The Italian goalkeeper made his first statements as an AEK player, on aekfc.gr: “I am very happy to have signed the agreement with AEK. It opens a great new chapter in my career.
