An artist in India uses artificial intelligence to create portraits of the world’s richest and most famous people – from Bill Gates to Donald Trump – if they are… poor.
Stunning portraits by Indian artist Gokul Pillai show Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos as…”poor billionaires”.
Speaking to the British newspaper Daily Mail, Pillay said that to create the amazing images, he used the artificial intelligence software Midjourney and also made some minor changes using Photoshop. It took about two days to create the photos.
As mentioned, this idea was inspired by a re-watch of the classic “Slumdog Millionaire”. “It was very random. The film is set in the slums of India and I wanted to recreate something based on that,” Pillai said.
He added, “The movie started off based on the word ‘millionaire’ in the title of the movie and placed it alongside real-life billionaires.”
Billionaires… AI poor
In a collage photo, American entrepreneur and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, 67, is shown naked, wearing only a gray T-shirt, standing outside a cabin. A photo of Gates, who has an estimated net worth of $116 billion and is the fourth richest person in the world, according to Bloomberg News, has garnered more than 10,000 likes.
The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, 76, looks reckless, rude and arrogant. In the photo, he’s wearing an oversized, faded T-shirt and dirty shorts, while his signature yellow hair is wildly long.
Another photo belongs to SpaceX founder Elon Musk, 51, who had an estimated net worth in March of $192 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and Forbes’ real-time billionaires list.
Musk is standing in front of the hut, in dirty gray jeans and dark trousers. The Tesla owner and CEO of Twitter is the second richest person in the world.
