Christophoros Papakaliatis to Konstantinos Markoulakis: “20 years have passed, get over it”

Completely different interview was done by Christophoros Papakaliatis In Down Town magazine edited by the journalist Fani Platsatura on the occasion of the inclusion of his new series, Musical band leader on the Netflix platform.

In it, the beloved creator was asked to answer questions from past collaborators, among them Konstantinos Markoulakis.

Why is it so difficult for a Greek art product to find a place in the international market? What are we missing?

I believe vision, ability, knowledge and hard work are prerequisites for achieving something like this. Do you think we have these characteristics in the right proportions in order to find a place easily – and often – in the international market?

In “Mind Me”? Of course it was my child, but such was the psychological warfare I endured from my partner (ie you!) that I retracted and wrote that it was yours. Twenty years have passed. Get rid of it. I met her first…ouch!

At the same time, in response to a question from Maria Cavogiannis, he revealed that he would like to play Daniel Day-Lewis in a movie about his life. Characteristically, he said, “He has a talent that enables him to play many roles at the same time and in different dimensions.”
