Hawkins’ urine toxicology test was conducted and 10 substances were found, including THC, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids, the report said.
“The National Institute of Forensic Medicine is continuing medical studies to find a full explanation of the events that led to Taylor Hawkins’ death,” and the Attorney General’s office will continue to investigate the cause of his death “in due course,” she added.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
“The Foo Fighters family has been devastated by the tragic and sudden loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laugh will live on with us all forever,” the band said on Twitter. “Our thoughts are with his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect at this unimaginably difficult time.”
Candles were later placed on the main stage for a Hawkins vigil, and screens on five stages of the festival projected the message “Taylor Hawkins Pour Semper,” which translates to “Taylor Hawkins Forever.”
News of Hawkins’ death also came a day after the band announced they would take the stage at the Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on April 3.
Hawkins was 50 years old.
CNN has reached out to Hawkins’ representatives for further comments.
