Considers the case of the takeover of Luke Sikma in position “4”

American forward Luke Sikma (2.03m) player Olympiacos and Georgos Partzokas are considering covering fourth place alongside Alec Peters.

With Nikola Mirotic’s case not progressing, Piraeus wasted no time and turned his attention to other players to fill the void created by Sasha Vyzenkov’s departure from the NBA.

The 34-year-old Sikma is free, since his cooperation with Alba Berlin ended and Piraeus is in discussions with him, in order to join the red-and-white list.

In the completed season he averaged 7.6 points in the Euroleague with 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, while in the Bundesliga he averaged 9 points per game with 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists.

Sikma started his career at La Palma in the 2011-12 season, followed by Burgos (2012-13), Canary Islands (2013-15), Valencia (2015-17) and Alba Berlin, where he has played for the past six years.

The Red and Whites went out on the market to find players who fit Giorgos Partzokas’ philosophy and playing style and who would “click” right with the rest of the roster.
