An incredible scene unfolded last Saturday night
(10/8) in one of the most central areas of Rethymnon.
According to local website cretalive.gr, one of the protagonists of the episode was a young man from the village of Mylopotamos who was recorded kicking another young man as he passed out on the ground.
Voices, screams are heard, third parties try to intervene, while a young patron shouts to call the police because he is afraid of the dangerous turn the incident has taken.
A video recorded on the mobile phone of one of the shop’s patrons reveals what content was sent to Cretalive.gr with the caption “The situation got out of hand”.
The same news sources reported that the young man collapsed on the floor of the shop and was picked up by an EKAB ambulance early in the morning and taken to hospital for first aid.
Reports suggest that the police were called about the incident, but it is not known whether a case has been registered on behalf of the victim. What exactly happened in the “heart” of the city of Rethymno, what happened and derailed is not clarified.
