Delta Airlines It will continue to ban certain individuals who have refused to comply with COVID-19 Mask authorization on Delta flights, even after the company dropped face-covering requirements after a Florida judge ruled that the Biden administration’s authorization of a public transit mask was delivered on Monday.
Individuals on the mask non-compliance ban list will have to prove themselves to the company before they can regain their “flying privileges,” a company spokesperson told FOX Business.

“With masks now optional, Delta will restore flight privileges to customers on the mask noncompliance ban list only after each case is reviewed and each customer demonstrates an understanding of their expected behavior when flying with us,” said company spokesperson Anthony Black. Statement to FOX Business.
“Any further disregard for the policies that keep us all safe will result in us being placed on Delta’s permanent no-fly list,” Black added. “Customers who have demonstrated egregious behavior who are already on the permanent no-fly list remain banned from flying with Delta.”

Delta and a slew of other airlines have announced masking is now optional on flights after a federal judge in Florida revoked the Biden administration’s national mask mandate that covers planes, airports and public transportation. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Requested The Department of Justice to appeal the judge’s ruling, and the Department of Justice later announced that it had filed an appeal notice.

The airlines had been calling on President Joe Biden’s administration to end the mask mandate for months, to no avail. The US Transportation Security Administration announced that it would not implement the authorization shortly after the Florida ruling on Monday.
The CDC has recommended that the transit mask mandate continue for another two weeks in order to evaluate the latest science.
