DEDDIE aims to have a better relationship with its customers and have a clear picture of its customer base, which is why it proposed to RAAEF to obtain the mobile phone data of every user contracted for electricity supply. In particular, the point amendments to the Guide to Cash Representation and Periodic Settlement (RAE Resolution No. 1443/2020, Official Gazette No. Β΄ 4737), recommended by the regulatory body DEDDIE, include two changes:
- The administrator’s ability to access the mobile phone of his clients and
- Forecast measurements on a monthly basis.
According to DEDDIE, both the monthly count and the goal of improving service to contract electricity consumers require DEDDIE to have access to the mobile phones of network users.

What does Didi say?
As stated by DEDDIE: “In the context of continuous efforts to further modernize and fully digitize its services as well as improve its services to the customer / electricity consumer, it considers it necessary in the relevant declaration process (with an emphasis on Declarations of Representation – Termination of Representation) of electricity suppliers that it considers to be the responsible electricity supplier Advertise to DEDDIE at least one mobile phone number of the contracted user.
DEDDIE will be able to communicate directly with contracted customers/consumers for the imminent fulfillment of their orders, thus avoiding unnecessary transitions and significantly reducing their completion time, and at the same time all other necessary updates/communications between DEDDIE and the consumer/customer including notifications of upcoming charges.”
