The Egyptian presidential spokesman, Bassam Rady, said in a statement that the two leaders stated this during a meeting in the coastal city of El Alamein in northern Egypt, where they exchanged views on various international and regional issues.
They called for coordinating efforts to find long-term solutions to regional crises with the aim of achieving security, stability and peace in the region and its peoples.
They also pledged to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the fields of economy and development, to support their aspirations for sustainable development, progress and prosperity, according to the statement.
