ELAS’s response to a mother of a 12-year-old child’s complaints about Colonov’s AT

The General Police Directorate of Attica offers its own version – with its announcement – about the complaints of the mother of a 12-year-old girl, which indicates a lack of police officers at the Kolonu police station.

It is to be recalled that when 53-year-old Ilias Mikos went to the AT in Kolonu to file a complaint of rape and deportation of her child, the woman said she was not accepted – the next day she was sent to GADA.

Following the press release of 08-10-2022, the General Police Directorate of Attica has clarified the following regarding the arrest of two nationals accused of sexually assaulting a minor:

• The minor’s parents went to the Kolonu Security Department to report illegal activities against their minor daughter.
• The aforementioned service immediately informed the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of the Attica Security Directorate, where the minor’s parents went the same day and filed their complaint.
• It is noted that the relevant criminal file was filed by the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of the Attica Security Directorate, while the service in question is materially qualified and staffed by specialized personnel for the investigation of such cases.

Therefore, reports of a police oligarchy, on TV broadcasts and on websites, do not correspond to reality.Mentioned by GADA.
