Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who was in good spirits at an informal meeting with political editors, was now told that after recent developments and upbeat polls, the odds in the race for the new democracy’s victory had narrowed considerably. “Let’s bet early,” he jokingly commented, with the gap with Syriza up to 7 points.
