Emergency weather report for heavy rain and thundershowers

According to the emergency message issued by the National Meteorological Center (EMY), the weather scenario changes abruptly from tomorrow Monday, which is predicted to move south (to the South Ionian) with cold air from the northern Balkans. Affecting many parts of the country.

Heavy rain and storms are expected, with hail and high-frequency lightning, increased winds and a significant drop in temperature.

Thessaly, Sporades, Central and Eastern Styria, Northern Evia and the Peloponnese will receive the most rainfall.

A. Heavy Rain and Storms Forecast:

4-9-2023 Monday

A. Afternoon in western and central Macedonia and early in eastern Macedonia and Thrace. From the afternoon the events will be limited to central Macedonia (mainly in the provinces of Piria and Imadia).

B. Noon to Epirus, Thessaly, Sporades and gradually the Ionian Islands, Styria and Evia

c. Peloponnese (mainly west and north) from afternoon.

On Tuesday 5-9-2023

A. Epirus, Ionian Islands, Western Styria and Western Peloponnese at times until late afternoon.

B. Central Macedonia (mainly in the provinces of Pieria, Imathia and Halkidiki), Thessaly, Sporades, Central and Eastern Styria (mainly in the provinces of Evrytania, Fthiotida and Boeotia and temporarily in the province of Attica, mainly in its western and northern parts), Evia (mainly in the north), eastern and Southern Peloponnese and Western Crete

c. Afternoon to evening in the western Cyclades and northern and eastern Aegean islands.

On Wednesday 6-9-2023

In Thessaly, the Sporades, central and eastern Styria (mainly the provinces of Evrytania, Fthiotida and Boeotia), northern Evia, eastern and southern Peloponnese and western and southern Crete. From the evening, areas will weaken except for Thessaly and Sporades regions, where they will continue until Thursday morning.
