Incidents involving Molotov cocktails, stones and police use of chemicals took place shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday in Exarchia.
Members of the anti-authoritarian scene called for a gathering at the Alexandros Grigoropoulos monument after OPKE men allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old girl at an anti-fascist concert in Neo Heraklion.
The young woman was reportedly brutally assaulted and is in a critical condition in hospital.
Many immediately responded to the call and the tension was felt by the strong forces of the MAT that had assembled in the surrounding streets from Exarchian Square. As the atmosphere choked with chemicals, many of the protesters took shelter in nearby shops.

According to information, the girl was taken to “Georgios Gennimatas” hospital from Neo Heraklion and is in critical condition with a head injury after being assaulted.
