Erdogan: The “Blue Homeland” from the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan referred to the “Blue Homeland” while speaking during a celebratory event in Ankara marking the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Intelligence Service (MIT).

“We courageously defend the interests of our nation”

The Turkish President spoke of Turkey's strong will to protect the “Blue Homeland” from the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean, stressing that “we courageously defend our nation's interests by taking the right steps at the right time, both in diplomacy as well as in the military field.”

“Everything Türkiye needs”

As in the past, we do not act by taking into account what others will say. Every decision we make in domestic and foreign policy, every policy we implement, is made with Turkey in mind. We seek to do what our nation's interests require, and what Turkey needs, regardless of what others say.

We courageously defend our nation's interests by taking the right steps at the right time, both diplomatically and militarily.

Military operations

Our military operations in northern Syria are a clear example of this. Our ongoing operations in northern Iraq are an example of this.

The liberation of Karabakh with our brothers from Azerbaijan, after almost 30 years of occupation, is an example of this.

Our support for the legitimate government in Libya, with which we have long-standing relations, is one of these goals.

“There is no success that comes by chance.”

Our strong will to protect our blue homeland from the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean is one such example.

These examples can be increased. Just as no success comes by chance, none of our country's achievements in various fields were accidental.

Massacres in Gaza

Turkey's frank stance on regional issues, especially the massacres in Gaza, worries some. They were surprised by the National Intelligence Service (MIT), which exposed Israeli agents in our country. This was just the first step. You haven't seen Türkiye yet.

Contrary to the claims of some, there has been no shift in Türkiye's axis. On the contrary, after a long search, our country has found its main focus. The name of this axis is the Türkiye Axis.

“Türkiye is strong at the table and in the field”

Turkey is working day after day to strengthen its position as a power of influence and as a player on the global chessboard. A strong Türkiye at the table and in the field becomes a reality with all its elements. Those who follow the steps our country is taking and those who compare Turkey before 2002 with Turkey today see the difference already well.

The Turkish President said in his speech that state officials' use of foreign messaging applications on their mobile phones creates a weak level of intelligence and announced that there will be an initiative to use Turkish-made applications.

Finally, Recep Tayyip Erdogan aimed his arrows at Israel, in reference to the recent arrests announced by the Turkish authorities of members of a spy network working for the Israeli intelligence service Mossad. Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: “You have not seen Türkiye yet.”
