The President of Turkey only had a few minutes Recep Tayyip Erdogan with its Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah Sisi in Doha, Qatar, where they are both in its framework The start of the 2022 World Cup.

Ankara’s relations with Cairo have been strained since Sisi, then commander of the Egyptian army, led the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, who was strongly supported by Erdogan, according to Reuters.
The two countries began high-level political consultations last year amid Turkey’s efforts to ease tensions with Arab states allied with the United States.
