Euroleague: Possible rivals for Panathinaikos Aktor and Olympiacos after the Greens won second place

Panathinaikos defeated Anxious Aktor and Alba Berlin to secure second place and a “secured” home advantage in the Euroleague regular season.

Monaco did the same, beating Bayern Munich strongly at home and remaining in the top four with home advantage.

The “Greens” who finished second are waiting to find out their opponent by playing in the event.

Monaco, in turn, awaits its opponent, who will be eliminated from Olympiacos' match tonight against Fenerbahce at the SEF Stadium (21:15, Nova Sports Prime). Late at night we'll find out the first couple of qualifiers.

Potential rivals of Olympiacos

Olympiacos and Fenerbahce both “locked” their entry into the top six and were waiting to find a place with home advantage, which ultimately did not happen after yesterday's matches, and now the scenarios have changed for their potential opponents.

With Monaco in third and Barcelona in fourth, Olympiacos and Fenerbahce play to choose the opponent. The winner will finish fifth and thus play a play-off against Barcelona with home advantage, while the loser will face Monaco, with the series starting in Monte Carlo.

The opponent of Panathinaikos Aktor will result from the play and specifically from the winner of the pair of places 7-8, i.e. between Maccabi and Virtus or Baskonia. The Italians host the Basques tonight in the final match of the regular season (12/4 – 21:30), with the winner finishing in eighth place and the loser falling to tenth place.

The winner will play against Maccabi (based in Belgrade) and whoever wins this match will be the opponent of Panathinaikos. The loser will get a second chance against the winner of the duo with a score of 9-10 and then face Real Madrid.
