Dear Talk Family,
On behalf of all of us at CBS, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to you on the tragic loss of our beloved Heather. She was an inspiration to all of us, living and thriving as we bravely fight a ruthless disease. She showed us what real courage looks like.
Heather has been the heart and soul of “The Talk” since day one. Her brilliance as an innovative producer was only surpassed by her huge smile and infectious laugh. She was a lovable and lovable mum to your family and a leader everyone looked up to. Her contributions to the show’s success are immeasurable, but most importantly she was a director who demonstrated your ability to lead with kindness, care and friendship. Heather was everyone’s friend, everyone’s hero, and everyone’s favorite person on the set. We will miss her very much.
We understand and share the pain and trauma you are feeling in this moment, as well as the sadness you will feel in the days ahead. As the show begins its hiatus starting August 1 (Monday), we don’t want you to grieve and cry alone. The group will be open, and HR will have staff and grief counseling available in person and by phone. HR support will also be on site. We understand how difficult this can be for all of you and we want you all to know that we are here for you.
George, Kelly, David, Thom, Amy, Laurie
