A lot of speculation has been circulating on social media over the past few days MSI has stopped manufacturing AMD graphics cards. For example, popular YouTuber Hardware Unboxed pointed out that MSI never released its own version of AMD's 7700 XT and 7800 XT, and all existing models appear to have been quietly retired.
Did I miss this story? MSI completely removed AMD's Radeon 7000 series, discontinued all current products and never released the 7700 XT/7800 XT. It all seems to have happened very quietly.

Therefore, after the strange shortage observed in the European market and in Australia, MSI finally came to clear the scene with a statement given to the German media. Hardwarelux. Specifically, a company representative stated:
As far as graphics cards are concerned, we are currently focusing more on RTX. However, our partnership with AMD is essential and very important to us. We are seeing very positive development, especially in the field of motherboards.
What does this mean; At least for now, MSI is prioritizing NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards exclusively Which dominated the market. Of course, this does not mean that the Taiwanese company will stop making Radeon models forever, nor does it indicate any permanent change in its relationship with AMD. However, if you're looking for Radeon GPUs from MSI and can't find stock in retail stores, now you know why.
For the record, MSI has only released four models based on AMD's Radeon RX 7000 series so far. Instead, the company launched 147 different models based on Nvidia's GeForce RTX 40 series chips. In the same comparison with the previous generations, i.e. Radeon RX 6000 and RTX 30, MSI manufactured 39 and 128 models respectively, which shows how much its priorities have changed.
So, at least for now, AMD graphics cards from one of the industry leaders are finally here.
