This is the economic data of Vincent Aboubacar, and what applies to Miguel Borja, in the minds of Mendeleiber and John Bautista.
The case of Ayoub El Kaabi will decide whether Olympiacos will move for one or two strikers in the summer transfer window. The ‘Reds and Whites’ have contacts with some strikers and their teams, and of course there are other cases where the management and Jose Luis Mendilibre are working without being in the public eye.
Turkey insists Vincent Aboubakar is likely to continue his career at Olympiacos, but it is no easy task.
The 32-year-old Cameroonian footballer earns an annual salary of €3.1 million plus bonuses at Besiktas, with whom he is under contract until the summer of 2025. The African striker has been training individually over the past 24 hours and the Turkish club is reportedly open to letting him go.
Meanwhile, Miguel Borja, who scored an early penalty in Colombia’s 5-0 win over Panama, has come under attack – including from Besiktas – with River Plate keen to keep him. The 31-year-old Latin American forward has a release clause of €7.4m.
Also, Mendeleiber and Olympiacos have been drawn to Eibar’s Jon Bautista, a product of Real Sociedad’s academy. The 29-year-old Spanish forward has a contract with Eibar for another year (until June 2025) and last season in the second division, he made 37 appearances, scoring 17 goals and providing three assists.
It is worth noting that Nicolas Pepe, who was released by Trabzonspor, has also been offered to Olympiacos. The 29-year-old right winger has a lot of experience, having played for Arsenal and is on the table for the red and white team.
