Alain Delon had asked at his death to be buried at his home in the village of Duchy, France. It was there, after all, that the pioneer of cinema spent the last years of his life.
French media reported that Alain Delon, who “died” at the age of 88 on Sunday (18.08.2024), had also indicated where he would like his final residence to be.
The international movie star also requested in his will that he not be given any official honors after his death.
Meanwhile, outside the big screen wizard’s home, fans and colleagues are mourning him after news of his death.
His sons’ enmity
Meanwhile, Alain Delon’s three sons may have set out together to jointly announce the death of their famous father, but as of 2023, their relationship is not at all harmonious.
Anouska, the daughter to whom Dillon had a particular soft spot, found herself confronted by her brothers Anthony and Alain Fabian, who decided last year, a year before the actor’s death, to stop the treatment he was receiving to fight lymphoma.
The dispute between them soon became the top topic in the French tabloids.
“I put him to bed, I carry him, I put him in the wheelchair, I cook for him, I sit with him, and a lot of times he curses me because… I’m here for an honest purpose. I want to help my father. I want to improve his daily life,” said his son Alan.
The two brothers accuse their sister Anouska, who lives permanently in Switzerland, of leaving their father to his fate and trying to keep him away from the home he wanted to stay in forever.
She herself accused them of depriving their father of the treatment necessary to keep him alive.
“He is very sick, and this concerns only his family and no one else. He has been having check-ups every two months for years, and in August he was due to have another check-up. But my brother strongly refused to do it.”
Suspicions about the actor’s illegitimate child
There is also much talk about Ary Boulogne, who until 2023, when he was found dead in his Paris apartment from a drug overdose, claimed to be Delon’s illegitimate child.
The actor never recognized him, but Ari was raised and adopted by the movie star’s mother and her second husband.
