the Speculations It has been circulating since the company confirmed its intention to hold this presentation, while in any such case there are always important announcements. The latest information suggests that the company may unveil the first SUPER cards just nine days after the announcement, and at least one SKU is scheduled to launch very soon.
According to reports, the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is expected to debut on January 17, followed by the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER a week later. The latest addition to the RTX 40 SUPER series, the RTX 4080 SUPER, is rumored to hit shelves on January 31. Apparently, NVIDIA plans to release each model in a staggered manner, with each model released on a weekly basis.
Based on the information, the schedule that NVIDA will follow is as follows:
• RTX 40 Super announcement: January 8, 2024
• RTX 4070 SUPER released: January 17, 2024
• RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Launch: January 24, 2024
• RTX 4080 SUPER released: January 31, 2024
While specific details like clock speeds are still unknown, it is widely believed that the RTX 4070 SUPER will include the AD104 GPU, which features 7,168 CUDA cores. The memory configuration is expected to mirror the original model, retaining the 12GB capacity. In particular, the new GPU is rumored to require higher power consumption compared to the RTX 4070, with a claimed default TDP of 225W.
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will sport an AD103 GPU, accompanied by 16GB of memory. It will retain the 285W TDP for the RTX 4070 Ti model, but on paper this could be one of the more interesting GPUs in the upcoming SUPER series.
The fastest model, dubbed the RTX 4080 SUPER, will use the full AD103 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores and retain the 16GB memory specs and 320W TDP of the RTX 4080 that’s still on the market. While the RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER are said to replace existing SKUs, the RTX 4070 SUPER will coexist with the RTX 4070 as previously claimed.
Other information indicates that all RTX 40 SUPER models will adopt 12VHPWR sockets, with no intention of using the standard 8-pin sockets for the new cards. The uncertainty lies in whether NVIDIA will produce its own Founder Edition, as those details have not been officially confirmed yet.
