Google has launched the beta version of Nearby Share for Windows PC – Android

To share files from your computer to your Android phone, all you need to do is drag and drop them into the Nearby Sharing app. Otherwise, you can right-click the file or files and select Nearby Share from the menu. If you own both devices and are signed in with the same Google account, transfers will be accepted automatically even if the recipient screen is turned off. Just keep in mind that both devices need to be within 5 meters or so of each other. Based on our own testing, the whole process is pretty easy, but without the speeds we see in Apple’s Airdrop, which means Wi-Fi Direct probably isn’t being used. This is only guaranteed by Intel’s Unison technology, which is gradually appearing in compatible systems.

Nearby Share is available to users in the United States and many other countries that do not currently include Greece.
