The 44-year-old arrested in the case of rape of a minor in Kolonos is horrifying.

According to Protothema.gr, the 16-year-old had been in a relationship with the 44-year-old’s son for a few months and said he saw her as his daughter. When the girl broke up with the young man, the father used the opportunity to set up his sick plan. He told the girl he was helping her reunite with her son, so he drove her in his car to an abandoned lot in Athens, where he sexually assaulted her. But the girl’s dream did not stop there.

The 44-year-old started threatening to kill his father, who was still alive, because his mother was dead.

Divorced and has an 11-year-old daughter in addition to her son, he used these threats to rape her. successively her 16, until she spoke to her father, which led to his arrest last Thursday by police officers from the Department of Defense Colonowith the assistance of police officers from the Athens Security Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate. The 16-year-old initially spoke to a friend about what she was going through, who convinced her that she should tell her father everything.

The girl’s father testified that he had sex with her against her will about ten times between June 2024 and August 19.

The accused was seen driving outside the 16-year-old’s house in the early hours of August 22 to 23, following a complaint by the father.

During those days, he kept calling her to meet again, though the minor tried to avoid him. Once he was under his house, he was placed under secret surveillance by police officers from the Athens Security Sub-Directorate. Police stopped his vehicle, but he swerved at the last moment to run. This was not possible as he was arrested immobile.

A laptop was seized during a search at his house, while his mobile phone and the car he was traveling in were also seized.

All the seized items and collected evidence have been sent for laboratory testing.

The criminal had his plan completely orchestrated as he tried to trap the girl with “fake” messages to meet her but she never sent but another person from the criminal’s circle of friends.

The arrested person was taken to a competent lawyer, while the girl was taken to the competent service for a report – in the presence of a psychologist.
