Holy Week Weather – Gallianos: Rainy but sunny until Easter Sunday

Meteorologist Yiannis Kallianos talks to newsit.gr about the detailed forecast for Holy Week weather. Their… earphones are Easter guests.

According to Yiannis Kallianos, “Until Holy Tuesday (11.04.2023), the weather will remain erratic with intermittent rains and localized storms in most parts of the country. On Holy Wednesday, April 12 and after, events of precipitation will be limited, mainly in Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and Eastern Aegean regions, while in other parts of the country, the weather will be better, with long intervals of sunshine”.

Later, he asserts that temperatures will start rising from Holy Wednesday (12.04.2023), where the mercury will again touch 20 to 22 degrees Celsius on Holy Thursday (13.04.2023) and Good Friday (14.04.2023). Parts of the country and we will have better weather.

“On April 14, Good Friday, clouds, intermittent and some rain may occur only in the north-western parts of the country. According to the latest data, Holy Saturday (15.04.2023) and Easter Sunday (16.04.2023), if the forecasts so far hold, mainly in the central-western parts of the country. We expect rain.

More specifically, in the Ionian Islands, the western mainland and perhaps some mid-continental areas. Of course, predictive models are not yet established.”

Finally, the meteorologist noted that “the wind will not cause problems for sea transport and generally conditions will be pleasant for sailing, walking, Easter celebrations and other areas”.
