How are the new insurance categories for professionals formed – …

The special electronic platform opened last week (https://www.efka.gov.gr/el/asphalt /me-misthotoi/epilogi-asphalistikis-Categories), through which the insured self-employed, self-employed and farmers can choose the insurance category they want to classify for the new year 2023 (the insured section, choose the insurance category for the main insurance, supplementary insurance and comprehensive insurance – total benefits from 1/1/2023) .

The choice of insurance class for the main and supplementary insurance branches and lump sum benefits is announced in one application and is valid throughout the year. The deadline for submitting the application – the announcement of the selection of the insurance class is January 31, 2023.

It transpires that an insured who will not apply – Selection/Change Declaration will remain, for the year 2023, in the category that was categorized in the previous year.

It should be noted that choosing the above insurance categories also increases pension benefits.

Notices of new contributions (January 2023) will be posted at the end of February 2023.

The new insurance classes – given the imminent (from January 1, 2023) increase in all insurance contributions for the self-employed by 9.9% – will be as follows:
