I Recycle I Change a Water Heater: When coupons expire, new solar subsidy recipients

Starting Monday, July 31, 2023, checks for the “Recycle – Change Water Heater” program have begun, in which, using a voucher, beneficiaries can exchange their old electric water heater for a new solar water heater.

Last date to redeem vouchers Expires October 4th It is expected that the second rounds of the “Recycling – Changing Water Heaters” program will then start with the selection of new beneficiaries from the group of runners-up. When the checks are cashed, it is expected that there will be additional space, from the €100m budget increase, so that runner-up recipients can also join the programme.

Note that the deadline for the old devices to be handed over by the beneficiaries to the stores for initial redemptions is Thursday, October 19, 2023, and as for the redemption of obligations, the end date is Friday, November 3, 2023.

The RECYCLE-CHANGE HEATERS program supports families to replace energy-intensive electric water heaters with solar water heaters. The program includes:

• Supporting the purchase of a solar water heater with modern and modern technology.
• Support the cost of carrying out the additional works needed to replace the old electric water heater with the new solar water heater (such as transportation costs, installation of the new solar water heater, or removal of the old water heater, consumables and accessories, etc.)
• Mandatory delivery of the old electric water heater to the retailer from whom the new solar water heater is supplied.

It is acceptable to replace old electric water heaters with a capacity of at least 40 liters. Solar water heater cannot be supported without the parallel connection of the old electric water heater. The scholarship is provided through program vouchers, which can be used at approved software suppliers and cover part of the total cost of related products/services.
