A case reminiscent of a thriller is being investigated by the police after a 71-year-old man died in an explosion and fire at his house in Sailokera village in Ilia.
According to police sources cited by patrisnews.gr, last night (14/7), a 71-year-old man from Germany was found burned, having “broken” into his neighbor’s house after cutting off the electricity and waiting for him to return. From his job, he was then assaulted and pepper sprayed.
case
Neighbors and the owner of the house informed the authorities and this morning filed a case against his German neighbours, Birkos security sub-directorate went to Xylokera as part of the self-immolation.
According to the same sources, police officers knocked on the 71-year-old German’s front door, but he did not answer.
They were saved by the smell of gas
At the same time, ELAS executives sensed a strong smell of gas and moved away from the scene, fearing an explosion. Just like that, a few seconds later.
The explosion was so powerful that the roof of the single-family house was shaken at least three meters into the air, and the police were miraculously saved from being swept away by the bone wave.
The fire department arrived at the scene and tried to prevent the fire from spreading to the neighboring houses.
From the first minute, at war with the flames and the villagers, they ran to help with tires and buckets.
Terrible sight
While extinguishing the fire, the firemen faced a terrifying scene.
In one of the rooms of the house, the owner of the house, Vyothipar, was found burnt.
A 71-year-old man had bought and lived in this house in recent years.
All scenes are obvious, mostly suicide. That is, the old man decided to end his own life like this.
