New photo from Assassin’s Creed Red, which will be one of the next big chapters in the franchise. The specific game was revealed with a very short trailer earlier and aims to fulfill a fan’s dream, as it will visit the Land of the Rising Sun in Japan for the first time.
More specifically, a photo has spread online over the past few hours, showing a woman dressed as an assassin, against a red background, in front of a Japanese castle. In fact, this image also contains the Assassin’s Creed logo. Of course, this is the only information so far, while the photo appeared on the screenwriter’s profile Pierre Boudreau From Ubisoft on his official LinkedIn account.

Let us also remind you that unlike most games in the series, Assassin’s Creed Red will have two unique playable characters, a male samurai and a female shinobi. So, most likely in the picture above we see female shinobi.
The male samurai will be an African refugee who joined Creed. According to previous rumours, this character will likely be based on Yasuke – the first African samurai who actually existed in real life in the late 16th century, and this assassin will play the role of a “brute” in the game with heavy attacks.
It is still unclear which real-life female shinobi could be based on, but the reporter’s information highlights that they would be much more flexible compared to samurai in terms of play style. The two characters will have completely different features and weapons in the game, to make them different from each other.
According to all information and rumors, the new Assassin’s Creed game will rely heavily on stealth, with the development team borrowing some ideas from the Splinter Cell games. For example, players will be able to hide in shadows, which they will be able to create, for example by putting out torches in environments, just like Sam Fisher can shoot torches. In addition, it will be possible to move enemy corpses and place them in difficult-to-find corners.
We don’t know when Assassin’s Creed Red will be released, but rumors say it’s the 2024 holiday season.
