ByeIt's never too late to discover your missing relatives. This is what I realize Michael DouglasWhich was featured on the PBS show Find your roots He discovered that he was his colleague's cousin Scarlett Johansson.
The 79-year-old actor was a guest of host Henry Louis Gates Jr. In the program that was broadcast yesterday. Gates has been exploring celebrity family trees for years, uncovering hidden relationships.
At the end of each episode, Gates announces to his guest whether his DNA, from which he sampled, matches that of another star who was a similar guest on his show.
“You must be kidding” Douglas said when he heard from Gates that he had 4 chromosomes matching Scarlett Johansson's DNA.
“This is wonderful. I can't wait to see Scarlett again.”The actor added that he also learned that his connection to her is due to the origin of both of them from the Jewish communities in Eastern Europe, who apparently immigrated to America at some point.
Gates was also a guest Lena DunhamWho learned that she was in a distant relationship with Larry David. In the previous season, they learned on the same show that they were distant cousins Julia Roberts And Edward Nortonwho is distantly related to Pocahontas.
What would we do if we woke up one morning and discovered that we were related to Scarlett Johansson? Maybe we weren't as cool as Douglas.
