In recent years, the enormous volume of Call of duty Games, since last year’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare III for example required 213GB of free storage. However, this year’s chapter of the photography series may redefine what we consider it to be “big” The game, always in terms of the gigabytes it requires.
Activision clearly wants this Black ops 6 To be the only game to be installed on your PC or console, its size can reach up to…310 GB! Yes, you read that correctly. 310 GB!
This size is for the Xbox version, which was made available for pre-installation for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, and that’s how we found out how big it is. Somehow, Call of Duty barely fits on the Xbox Series S’s 364GB gaming disc. Meanwhile, the game takes up roughly half of the available space of the PS5 (not the Slim version), since the console has 667GB available for gaming.
Of course, there are many details that should be noted. If we take into account the structure of previous titles, the core files of the game will “weigh” less. The whopping 300GB size refers to the full Call of Duty package when someone downloads the base game which includes Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, but also Warzone and Call of Duty HQ. If someone has already downloaded COD HQ and Warzone, they will need to download fewer files. At the same time, if it is the same as last year, after downloading all the content, it will be possible to delete the modes, for example, if someone runs the campaign and only wants to access Call of Duty HQ and multiplayer.
However, the size of the game will definitely be a thorn in the side of many players, especially those with slower connections or data caps.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is expected to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series Pre-orders for the game have already begun on the console’s official digital stores and on Steam and Battle.Net. It should be noted that the title will be available from day one on the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscription services.
The game’s events will transport players to the “Gulf War”, an armed campaign carried out in 1990-1991 by a military coalition of 39 countries in response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Development is being led by Treyarch, which for the first time in franchise history has had four years to polish the experience.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will radically evolve the movement system, with so-called “omni-motion” allowing players to run, slide or dive in any direction. Meanwhile, the traditional Prestige system and Theater mode will return to multiplayer, while Zombies mode will be round-based once again, as the community has long requested.
The single-player campaign will offer multiple ways to approach missions, even with dialogue options. Between missions, players will be able to visit a safe house, where they will plan their next missions through an evidence collection table. There they will be able to upgrade and interact with NPCs.
