A local community in Potochori Kavala suffered a gruesome death after a 68-year-old woman was murdered and beaten by a wanted assailant.
The mystery of the thriller started unraveling yesterday (4.6.2023) when the woman was found dead on Friday afternoon in a goat shed located a few meters away from her house in Potochori, Kavala, Saturday. But later it was revealed that he was murdered.
Also, as the body of the 68-year-old woman was transferred to the Forensic Service to establish the exact cause of her death, a post-mortem examination revealed that she had extensive internal injuries inflicted by the killer.
Immediately, the police started an investigation focusing on the immediate family members of the unfortunate woman to find the culprit.

«We sure have guilt. Someone did. But who could have done it and why could not be found. My aunt is a very peaceful person and he had no reason to do this to her. The police are investigating and we hope to find out soon.
Our mind is not going anywhere. My uncle who lost his life like this and this woman were engaged in animal husbandry, but don’t imagine, ten animals were counted. They had no children and both lived together.
On Friday, we suddenly learned that her husband was looking for her, and a short time later she was found dead near the corral. About 400 meters from the house. She usually visited the animals and returned home in the afternoon. When she did not return that afternoon, her husband started looking for her.
She immediately called for help and their other nephew died on the spot. Bumps are not visible at first glance. An autopsy showed he had internal injuries that were human-caused. Investigations are still being carried out by the police and we will find out everything that happened when necessary. I hope we get news soon.”
