The company has revealed three new games, Silent Hill Townfall, Ascension, and F which seem to be completely different experiences with a common denominator.
Townfall comes from Annapurna Interactive and No Code, a Glasgow studio known for strong narrative titles like Observation and Untold Stories. From the short teaser released for Townfall, we understand that this is the most traditional of the three “Silent Hill” games.
Ascension, scheduled for release in 2023, will be influenced by JJ Abrams. This appears to be an interactive streaming series that has a “motto”: We face your shock together. Ascension comes from JJ Abrams’ well-known Bad Robot production company that will partner with Genvid, a live interactive production company.
Then there’s Silent Hill, which comes from RyĆ«kishi07, a creator known for visual novels that have psychological horror and supernatural puzzles at their core. The joke for f is incredibly shocking, as a young woman is eaten alive from the inside out by the tentacles of a carnivorous plant.
The description below the video posted on YouTube talks about a story “set in 1960s Japan in a beautiful but terrifying world.”
In addition to the three games, the movie Silent Hill was also announced. The film will be titled “Back to Silent Hill” and is a sequel to a movie based on the game that debuted in 2006. The director will be Christoph Gans himself.
Currently, the film is in the early stages of development. Returning to production was Victor Hadid who also worked on the first film in 2006.
