The Mindaugas Kosminskas stayed in Olympic Just for a few months, after the summer of 2019 when he signed with Piraeus under the technical leadership of David Platt.
However, the Lithuanian striker, with the changes made to the squad, did not find a place in the team and so left soon after for Russia… In his remarks Kosminskas referred to his short time at Olympiacos, while he also unveiled David Platt, Kesturis Kemzoura and the way with which he left.
His statements in detail:
“It’s a different story. David Platt took me to Olympiacos. In the friendlies everything was fine. Even in the first game of the Euroleague, I started as a rookie. Unfortunately we lost the match against Villeurbanne by 20 points. Maybe it was because… I started in the positions The first five (laughs). Of course I’m joking.
“The coach left the team immediately after that. The assistant team was taken over by Kestutis Kimzora, with whom I have a great relationship. After two matches I realized I hadn’t played much. The previous year at Milan wasn’t my best and I just wanted to play.
So I went to the coach and told him. He was straight with me. I am grateful for his frankness about how he saw my role in the team. We came to an agreement that I’d better leave. To make a move and find enough co-lecturers again, to find a role. I think this worked correctly. In Krasnodar I had two great years and again played in the Euroleague. We were doing really well, maybe if Russia hadn’t started the war we would have made it to the Final Four. “We’re doing really well,” he added.
