Hollywood “froze” upon hearing the news of the death of Lance Reddick, the famous star of the HBO films “The Wire” and “John Wick”, at the age of only 60!
According to TMZ citing police sources, Riddick’s body was discovered at his Studio City home on Friday morning (9:30 a.m. local time). The cause of his death is currently unclear, but the same sources speak of natural causes.
It is worth noting that Riddick recently gave a press conference for the fourth season of John Wick, in which he plays the role of Sharon.
In fact, he was scheduled to make a guest appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show next week.
The American has starred in his beloved films and TV series, and on Wednesday morning he posted a video on social media, in which he appears to be at home with his dogs, instead of the New York premiere of John Wick 4. He never mentioned why he didn’t attend the premiere.
His career is in movies, series and video games
Lance Reddick is best known for his role as Cedric Daniels on the TV series The Wire (2002-2008), as Philip Broyles on Fringe (2008-2013) and as Chief Irvin Irving on Bosch (2014-2020).
At the same time, he has also acted in a few movies. Thus, he is best known in cinema for his role as Charon in the John Wick franchise (2014-present), as David Gentry in Angel Has Fallen (2019) and Guillermin in Godzilla vs. Zombies. Kong (2021).
He is also known for playing Detective Johnny Basil in Oz (1997-2003), Matthew Abaddon in Lost (2004-2010), and Albert Wesker in the Netflix series Resident Evil (2022).
Finally, he has also lent his voice to video game characters such as Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, Cylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, and Commander Zavala in Destiny 2.
