Through its announcement, LIDL HELLAS announces the recall of a certain batch of juice due to the discovery of patulin, which contains mycotoxins:
“In the context of consumer protection, Molkerei Gropper GmbH & Co. KG continues the precautionary recall of the product “Solevita Smoothie Red Genius, 250mL” whose expiration date is 03/12/2024.
The affected product contains aronia juice, in which patulin was detected. Patulin is a mycotoxin produced by fungi that can cause nausea, vomiting, and indigestion. Therefore, we ask our customers to take the recall seriously and not to consume the affected product under any circumstances. The product “Solevita Smoothie Red Genius, 250mL” with an expiration date of 12/03/2024 is sold by LIDL HELLAS.
Our company, with consumer protection in mind, immediately responded and recalled the product from its sales premises. Customers can return the product to any of our stores, of course receiving the purchase price. The recall relates exclusively to the product “Solevita Smoothie Red Genius, 250mL” which has an expiration date of 03/12/2024. Other products from the company Molkerei Gropper GmbH & Co. KG, sold by LIDL HELLAS under the Solevita brand, is not affected by this recall. Mulkerry Grouper GmbH & Co. KG apologizes to all consumers for the inconvenience this may have caused.”
