Lucescu: “The only thing that matters is qualification”

Razvan Lucescu’s clear sign of qualification ahead of the return match with Boracay Banja Luka.

What can we expect from him? Bauk In Bosnia regarding the Tomba match? Qualification and nothing else. That’s what he said Razvan Lucescu During the press conference held this afternoon.

The Romanian coach stressed that his team must fight for success, as nothing has been decided yet, and he expects his players to give 100% of their capabilities.

What Razvan Lucescu said at the press conference:

On what’s different to expect in the rematch:

“We are waiting to qualify. We know that we have not achieved anything yet and we have to fight and give everything we have now. After the referee’s whistle all we are waiting for is to qualify, that is the most important thing. We know that in the first match we played against both teams, we won, we scored three goals, but we missed two goals. I hate to talk about it, but the penalty shootout is controversial and Banja Luka’s goal was offside. Banja Luka is a hard-working team and they try to push the game into the rings and try to take advantage of it. We have to be focused and not allow that.

“I expect us to be focused and confident in our work. I want all the players to give 100% to the game.”

For the week before tomorrow’s match:

“In any case, it is different for each player during his time in the team. We must benefit from the fatigue of the opponents. It is an important element that we must take into account.”

Regarding his statement that players would not be allowed to fly because of winning the championship, he confirmed:

“Last week we won 3-2 and we must not let the victory go unnoticed. It was PAOK’s first win in a major European competition after four years. It is important that everyone gives their best because we have things we want to achieve. The players’ effort is at a good level, we have to be more focused tomorrow and get the win.

On how much better he knew the Bosnians if he expected them to surprise him:

“A champion is a champion, that means he has a good mentality. Every game is dangerous, especially if you are not 100% focused. I don’t think there is anything I know or don’t know about the opponent. What matters is our focus and working to achieve our goal.”

For the transfers of Tissondali, Sortier and Chalov:

“I don’t want to talk about transfers, we have a game tomorrow.”
