The drug, which is sometimes abused to induce a stimulant or euphoria, was being taken by the actor under supervision as part of treatment for depression, but the actor “became addicted to it in the fall of 2023,” Estrada said.

The prosecutor said his personal assistant, two female doctors and a drug dealer known as the “Ketamine Queen” were among the defendants who took advantage of his vulnerabilities, illegally supplying Matthew Perry with about 20 vials of ketamine for $55,000 in cash in just two months.

One of the doctors, Salvador Plasencia, faces up to 120 years in prison.

This doctor was particularly sarcastic, according to Estrada. “I wonder how much this moron will pay,” he wrote in a text message in September 2023.
