According to information from ERT, the discovered bones and skull were identified on Sunday evening (22/10).

The key to the identification was a driver’s license found near the bones.

Officials who arrived at the scene collected the bones and skull and sent them to the forensic laboratory for examination.

The bones and skull have been identified as belonging to a 49-year-old citizen

It was established that the bones belonged to a 49-year-old citizen who went missing on April 5, 2023 in the Kallithea Defense Department in Athens.

So far, authorities have kept open all possibilities for her death, but also how she was buried at the site.

How did the hunter find them?

Reminds you that on Saturday (22/10) at noon a hunter noticed his dog digging for bones through the bushes in a very difficult place in the Gerania Hills. The frightened man rushed to call the police.

Yesterday, the coroner and officials collected the bones and sent them to an anthropologist to identify them.

It is recalled that the bones and the skull were found by the said citizen who came hunting in the wooded area of ​​Megara.
