A member of the Russian Secret Service (FSB) and a member of the Wagner mercenary organization has sought asylum in France, according to Russian media and independent Russian outlet The Insider.
The two men, who sought asylum on the same plane in France, will reportedly testify as part of the investigation into Russian war crimes in Ukraine.
Russian human rights activist Vladimir Usiskin, founder of anti-corruption and torture website Gulagu.net, said the two men will also testify about corruption within the FSB and Wagner.
The FSB officer, according to the same sources, has very important inside information about documents related to both the invasion of Ukraine and recent developments in the counterintelligence department and the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to Usshekin, other officials in recent months have also been able to leave Russia and seek asylum.
