The car was locked and the keys were inside the vehicle
In the early hours of the morning, men from the DIAS team on patrol in the Pylaia area of Thessaloniki saw a woman outside a Ford car crying and asking for help.
The woman was in this condition because a minor boy was trapped inside her vehicle while she was previously strapped into his child seat. The car was locked and the key was inside the car and the driver had no way of unlocking it as he did not have a second key.
They broke the glass and saved the child
Following this, the authorities used a special glass breaker to break the window on the opposite side of the child, unlock the vehicle and free the minor boy.
The child was startled by the sound of breaking glass, but that’s what would have happened if the police had waited a little longer. Eventually, the woman took the minor boy in her arms and the police received heartfelt thanks from her and passers-by and neighbors who rushed to her aid after hearing her cries.
