WhatsApp is changing as Meta announces the update of the app with a revamped user interface (UI). After years of stagnation, the tech giant’s goal is to make the app simple, reliable, and privacy-preserving. Improved mobility, modern aesthetics, and enhanced ease of use are the three elements of the company.
Some users have already noticed the changes while the updated UI version will gradually reach everyone.
Green and white remain primary colors
The biggest visual changes in WhatsApp’s UI design are the repositioned navigation bar where you can make chats, updates, and calls. However, Meta looked at over 35 different color variations for the app and came up with a more intense green, while keeping the base color alongside white.
The most important changes
The new WhatsApp, in its renewed version, focuses on deeper color tones to reduce eye fatigue in low-light conditions, which is why in dark mode the colors are darker to make it easier to read messages.
As for the iPhone app, it’s now easier to send photos and videos.
Finally, Meta has also improved all the icons within the app.
