Starting September 12, the monthly fee for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in Greece will increase by €3, to €17.99 from €14.99. At the same time, new PC Game Pass subscribers will see the price increase from €9.99 to €11.99 per month. Accordingly, a 12-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Core (formerly Xbox Live) has been priced at €69.99 from €59.99.
The company is also introducing a new option, Xbox Game Pass Standard, for $14.99 per month (we don’t know the European price yet). This subscription won’t include access to Microsoft studio games from day one of their release, but it will enable multiplayer gaming on the console.
These changes — which are sure to confuse Xbox/PC Game Pass fans — come ahead of Microsoft adding big titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Game Pass later this year. The price increase was largely expected after Microsoft announced the Call of Duty series would be added to Game Pass.
For existing Xbox Game Pass for console subscribers, the service will continue to exist, but it will not be available to new subscribers starting July 10 until the new standard Game Pass subscription kicks in. Additionally, starting September 18, existing subscribers will only be able to accumulate up to 13 months, which is no longer the case until now.
Microsoft has published the full list of Global price changes For those outside the US interested in knowing how their subscription will be affected.
