Middle East: Bloody attack in Jerusalem – dead and injured

At least eight people were wounded, some critically, and two killed in a shooting attack in East Jerusalem on Thursday morning (11/30).

The gunmen arrived at the scene of the attack in a vehicle and started firing indiscriminately. A 24-year-old woman died on the spot in the shooting, while a 74-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at Saare Zetec Hospital.

The gunmen used M-16 and handguns in the attack

An initial update from Israel’s Health Authorities (MDA) said five people were seriously injured, one in moderate condition and two with minor injuries.

Based on the same source, one of the attackers is dead and the other is critically injured. However, “two suspects in the shooting in Jerusalem were neutralized at the scene,” police said.

The terrorists came in a car

Times of Israel reporter Manny Fabian speaks of “two Palestinian gunmen,” while Haaretz notes that “terrorists drove up to the Kivat Saul intersection in Jerusalem and opened fire on civilians at a bus stop, police said. According to police, two soldiers and a civilian in the area attacked them. One person was killed and another critically injured in the firing.Security forces are conducting a search operation in the area.

According to reports, the gunmen carried out the attack using M-16 and rifles.

It is worth recalling that last November, two Israelis, Tadaza Tashume ben Mata and Aryeh Shezobek, were killed in a bomb attack at a nearby bus stop and a bus stop near the Ramot neighborhood.
