The Midnight Society announced the news on Friday, saying it believes Dr. Disrespect is innocent and has opened discussions with all involved in order to stay within the principles that set it and its employees apart.
On Friday evening, we learned of an allegation against one of our co-founders, Jay Beam, also known as Dr. Disrespect.
We assumed his innocence and began speaking with interested parties. In order to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and individuals, we needed to work.

A former Twitch employee told The Verge on the condition of anonymity that Beahm used Twitch’s (now defunct) messaging app Whispers to send sexually explicit messages to a minor while making TwitchCon appointments.
He was banned because he was caught sexting a minor in the then-existing Twitch whispers product. He was trying to meet her at TwitchCon. Permissions that can be read in plain text.
