As we get closer to the rumored release of the next generation of Windows, more information is starting to leak out. Some of the features that the operating system will come with have already become known, and now it is time to know some specifications.
Trendforce, a well-known market research and analysis company, reported that Microsoft will increase the minimum requirement for AI-powered Windows PCs to 16GB. Meanwhile, Tom's Hardware notes that in addition to 16GB of RAM, AI PCs will need at least 40TOPS (a unit of measurement for computing power) to ensure fast performance.
Windows 11 cannot be installed on systems with less than 4GB of RAM
It's worth noting that we don't know yet if the company will ban devices with 8GB of RAM or less. Windows 11 cannot currently be installed on systems with less than 4GB of RAM.
“Co-Pilot” The co-pilot
Microsoft in an earlier update brought in a barrage of AI apps by integrating the Copilot intelligent “copilot” and upgrading the Paint app with AI. The AI-powered co-pilot replaces digital assistant Cortana, which never caught on and was discontinued as an app last month.
Copilot appears as a sidebar and allows the user to change settings on the computer, open and run applications, write texts, and answer questions.
